Dr. Qin holds a PhD in economics from University of Cambridge. Dr. Qin Xiao is Chairman of China Merchants Group and China Merchants Bank. He is a member of the Eleventh Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, guest professor at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China. Before joining China Merchants Group, he served as President and Vice Chairman of China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC), and Chairman of CITIC Industrial Bank. He was a deputy to the Ninth National People’s Congress and a member of the Tenth Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He also served as China member of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and Chairman of ABAC for the Year 2001. Dr. Qin has published papers and books in the fields of economics and management in China and overseas.

Mr. Yuen is Deputy to the Ninth National People’s Congress, Justice of the Peace of the HK SAR, Member of HK SAR Election Committee, Member of Citizens Advisory Committee on Community Relations of ICAC, and Executive Director of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association. Mr. Yuen, born in November 1941, joined China Merchants in 1964, and served various positions as Deputy General Manager of Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping Co., Ltd., Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Steam Navigation Co., Ltd. He was also Member of the 8th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Preparatory Committee of HK SAR, Legislator of the Provisional Legislature of the HK SAR, and Member of the 1st HK SAR Government Election Committee.

Director and President of China Merchants Bank. Born in June 1949, Mr. Ma obtained a Ph. D from the Southwest University of Finance and Economics, China and a Ph. D of Honor from Southern California University, U.S.A., and holds a professional title of “Senior Economist”. He successively served as Division Chief of the Planning Committee of Liaoning Province, Division Chief of the General Office of Liaoning Provincial Government, Division Chief of the General Office of Anhui Provincial Government, Assistant Controller of the General Office of the People’s Bank of China, Deputy Director for the Planning and Funds Managing Department of the People’s Bank of China, President of the People’s Bank of China, Hainan Branch.

Chairman of China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. Mr. Gong, born in June 1955, obtained a Ph. D from Southwest University of Finance and Economics and holds a professional title of “Senior Economist”. He used to serve as Deputy Director of the Finance Research Institute of the People’s Bank of China, Beijing Branch, Director of the General Office, Secretary to General Office of the People’s Bank of China, Division Chief of the Planning and Funds Managing Department, Assistant to President, Vice President of the People’s Bank of China, Shenzhen Branch, and Vice President of China Merchants Bank.

Mr. Li, Born in April 1955, obtained a master degree from the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China and a master degree from the Finafrica School, Italy and currently carries a professional title of “Senior Economist”. Mr. Li successively served as Deputy Division Chief and Division Chief of the General Office of Agricultural Bank of China, Deputy General Manager of the International Business Department of Agricultural Bank of China, Chief of the Preparatory Group for Agricultural Bank of China (New York), Deputy General Manager of Human Resource and Education Department of Agricultural Bank of China, Deputy General Manager of Agricultural Bank of China (Hong Kong), and General Manager of the Financial Department of China Merchants Group Ltd., Assistant Chief Financial Controller of China Merchants Group Ltd.

Ltd., Chairman of China Merchants Logistics Group, Director of China Merchants Zhangzhou Development Zone Administration Committee, Vice Chairman of China Merchants Zhangzhou Development Zone Co., Ltd., Chairman of China Merchants Beijing Co., Ltd., Vice President of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and Vice President of China Association of Communications Enterprises Management. Mr. Hu was born in February 1956, he obtained a master degree in Business Administration from Murdoch University, Australia and holds a professional title of “Senior Economist”. Mr. Hu successively served as Secretary of the General Office of the Ministry of Communications, Secretary of the board of directors of China Merchants Holdings Co., Ltd., General Manager of the Executive Department of China Merchants Holdings Co., Ltd., Assistant President of China Merchants Group Ltd. and No. 1 Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone.

Mr. Meng, born in April 1956, graduated from Beijing Construction and Engineering Institute with a Bachelor Degree in Construction Engineering, and carries a professional title of “Senior Engineer”. He successively served as Deputy General Manager of the Enterprise Department, Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Co., Ltd., and General Manager of the Planning and Statistical Department of China Merchants Group Ltd., Assistant President of China Merchants Group Ltd. and General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department.

Concurrently serving as Chairman of Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping Co., Ltd. Born in October 1958, Mr. Su Xingang graduated from Ship Navigation and Harbour Suprerintendency Administration Speciality of Navigation Department of Dalian Maritime University. He holds the professional title of senior engineer. He used to serve as deputy division chief of Department of Transportation Administration, assistant director general of Department of Water Transportation of Ministry of Communications, vice president of China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Corp., deputy director general, director general of Department of Water Transportation of Ministry of Communications.

Mr. Sun, born in July 1959, graduated from the Wuhan Water Transport and Engineering Institute with a Bachelor Degree in Ship Building and Repairing, and carries a professional title of “Senior Engineer”.
