During March 1, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group President Li Xiaopeng was invited by Ying Yong, Deputy Secretary, CPC, Provincial Committee, Shanghai Municipality; Mayor, People's Government, Shanghai Municipality, to attend SOE meeting in Shanghai.

Li Xiaopeng said that China Merchants Group shared historical connections with Shanghai where CMG founded the first bank, first insurance company, first modern commerce fleet in China. When speaking to the future development, Li Xiaopeng showed the willingness to make more contribution to the industry transformation in Shanghai with more investments.
