On June 3, 2017 local time, China Merchants Hoi Tung Trading signed Cooperation Agreement with China Alumium International Trading in Shenzhen. CMG Chairman Li Jianhong and CAIT Chairman Ge Honglin witnessed the signature ceremony held by CMG CFO Fu Gangfeng. Group Executive Vice President Wang Hong joined the ceremony.

In the light of Cooperation Agreement, two enterprises will establish joint ventures whose businesses covers non-ferrous metal, tenor of ore and etc.. Domestically, JV(Tian Jin) and Joint Project in Shanghai Free-Trade Zone will be foundation. Internationally, a market-oriented JV in Singapore is expected to be established with the goal of building as first-class bulk-stock trading platform.
