On June 19, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group signed Cooperation Agreement in Shenzhen with China Three Gorges Corporation. China Merchants Group Chairman Li Jianhong, China Three Gorges Corporation Chairman Lu Chun, President Wang Lin attended the signature ceremony.

The ceremony in Shenzhen brings the huge pact, which moves to strong partnership, a step to intertwining a closer bilateral relationship. In the light of Cooperation Agreement, China Merchants Group will join hands with China Three Gorges Corporation in terms of engineering logistics, transportation system in Yangtze River, capital and financial services in response to national strategies "The Belt and The Road" Initiative, "Yangtze River Economic Zone".

"China Three Gorges Corporation has large-scale capacities and potentials, which shares solid cooperation foundations with CMG. We will strive to promote sustainable development." said CMG Chairman Li Jianhong. Lu Chun suggests two sides start with specific projects, namely Hydroelectric Development, Development and Construction of Off-Shore Wind Power, Shipping Logistics alongside Yangtze River, The Belt and The Road Initiative, Clean Energy Industry Fund, Photovoltaic, Smart City Grid and etc..
