On July 20, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group(CMG) President Li Xiaopeng met in Hong Kong with Gao Xingfu, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, exchanging ideas about business development and promising cooperation. CMG Executive Vice President Hu Jianhua attended the meeting.

Li Xiaopeng welcomed the visit of Gao Xingfu and expressed gratitude to the long-term support of Zhejiang Province. "CMG is focusing on four business sectors, namely finance, industrial park and city development, logistics and shipping, infrastructure and equipment manufacture. In the recent 10 years, total assets and profits have been increasing with double digits. Group is also mobilizing port resources to build global network. The current cooperation with Zhejiang province lies in port and toll roads, which is expected to cooperate with Zhoushan port as soon as possible." said Li Xiaopeng. Gao Xingfu said Zhejiang province attached importance to ocean economy and regarded it as the largest growth driver in the future. He appreciated the great contribution of CMG on the development of Zhejiang Economy and showed the willingness to work closely with CMG.
