On August 3, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group(CMG) President Li Xiaopeng met with Ali Rashed Lootah, Chairman of NAKHEEL Group, exchanging ideas about business development and future cooperations. CMG Executive Vice President Su Xingang attended the meeting.

Li Xiaopeng welcomed the visit of Ali Rashed Lootah and his delegations and recalled the warm reception in Dubai two years ago. He said that CMG is engaging to build Double Happiness Island and plan to nurture the other man-made island in Shenzhen. "NAKHEEL gained a robust development, with double-digit growth of revenue and profits in the first half of this year. We are willing to work closely with Nakheel in man-made island tourism, overseas projects, high-end cruise industry and industry fund." said Li. Ali Rashed Lootah introduced NAKHEEL's flagship projects and invited CMG to join cooperations domestically and internationally.
