On August 26, 2017 local time, Wuhan University Alumni Conference was held. Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Hubei and Party Secretary of Wuhan Chen Yixin and China Merchants Group(CMG) President Li Xiaopeng are invited to attend the conference and make speech.

Li Xiaopeng, as Alumni Representative, said that the long-term development of Wuhan is impressive, with innovative urban development plan and mutual engagement between universities and city. In the history, CMG share time-horned connections with Wuhan, for China Merchants Hankou Bureau was founded on 1873, the second year since China Merchants established. In the future, CMG will make more contributions to Wuhan, especially in five fields, namely shipping, urban development, tourism, supply-chain platform and finance.
