On September 3 to 4, 9TH BRICS SUMMIT is held in Xiamen, Fujian Province. China Merchants Group(CMG) Chairman Li Jianhong is invited to attend and deliver a speech on the summit. CMG Executive Vice President Hu Jianhua attends the summit.

The summit focuses on the theme of "Deepening Partnership and Opening up a brighter future" , which sets four issues of "Trade and Investment", "Financial Cooperation and Development", "Interconnection" and "Blue Economy". CMG Chairman Li Jianhong attends "Blue Economy" session and delivers a theme speech. Li illustrates how CMG develop blue economy from four perspectives, namely port, shipping, equipment manufacturing and financial services. "China Merchants Group will work closely with BRICS regions to develope blue economy" says Li.
