On November 6, 2018 local time, China Merchants Group(CMG) signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Metro. CMG Executive Vice President Wang Cuijun signs the agreement with Shanghai Metro President Gu Weihua, under the witness of CMG Chairman Li Jianhong and Shanghai Metro Chairman Yu Guangyao.

Before the signature ceremony, Chairman Li Jianhong visits Remote monitoring center and COCC of Shanghai Metro. Two sides heads then have a top-to-top meeting for tackling cooperation issues. Under the terms of the agreement, China Merchants Group and Shanghai Metro will fully play its respective advantages with the goal of all-weather cooperations in terms of property operation above Shanghai's Metro stations, rail transport except for Shanghai, design and exploration of tunnels and urban rail project as well as financial and capital innovation and etc..
