On March 31 to April 3, Group President Hu Jianhua, head of the Group's overseas epidemic prevention and control emergency management working group, along with Assistant President Li Yadong, deputy head of the working group, investigated the Group's critical units for overseas epidemic prevention and control via voice or video calls, including the Port of Colombo in Sri Lanka, the Group's representative office in Central Asia, Sinotrans'subsidiaries in Malaysia, Thailand and Angola, China Merchants Industry's subsidiary in Italy and the Group's organizations in Djibouti, for further understanding the anti-epidemic work progress, production and operation situation and current difficulties as well as extending appreciation to the employees and their families on behalf of the Group. The Group attaches great importance to overseas units' epidemic situations and serves as a solid back-up for overseas epidemic prevention and control all along.

Regarding the production and operation pressures faced, the Group required, under the premise of ensuring safe production, all overseas units should resort to every feasible means to minimize the impact of the epidemic on production and operation. At the same time, all overseas units should obey the instructions of embassies or consulates, earnestly implement the epidemic prevention work following the Group's implementation plan of overseas epidemic prevention and control and take measures to prevent imported cases and clusters of infection.
