On June 29, China Merchants Life Insurance's 2019 Annual General Meeting was held at China Merchants Tower. Li Jianhong, Chairman of China Merchants Group and Chairman of China Merchants Life Insurance, presided over the meeting. Hu Jianhua, President of China Merchants Group and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China Merchants Life Insurance, attended the meeting.

Li Jianhong said that in the past three years, with shareholders' full support and a dedicated and professional management team, China Merchants Life Insurance managed to gain distinct achievements, beat the market trend and outperformed peers. A total of 8 shareholders and shareholder representatives who held 6.599 billion shares attended the meeting and exercised voting rights, accounting for 100% of the total voting rights. The meeting unanimously reviewed and approved three proposals including "Final Report 2019", "Work Report of the Board of Directors 2019" and "Work Report of the Board of Supervisors 2019". The meeting also heard four reports including "Report of Solvency Condition 2019", "Special Report on Related Party Transactions 2019", "Work Report of Independent Directors 2019" and "Work Report of Managing Director 2019".
