On October 15, China Marine Economy Expo 2020 (CMEE 2020) opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme of "Sharing Blue Economy Opportunities, Building a Shared Future", CMEE 2020 launched major activities of three categories, including exhibitions, forums and supporting facilities, to encourage global enterprises to integrate into the blue economy.

Lu Hao, Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Wang Hong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Director of the State Oceanic Administration, Qin Weizhong, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, and Chen Rugui, Mayor of Shenzhen, visited China Merchants Group's booths with the company of Wang Hong, Executive Vice President of China Merchants Group. This is the fourth time that China Merchants Group has participated in the CMEE as the main co-organizer. This year, China Merchants Group's exhibition hall took up more than 600 square meters in the pavilion. The Group's sea-related subsidiaries, including China Merchants Port, China Merchants Shekou, China Merchants Energy Shipping and China Merchants Industry set up booths.
