On November 30, China Merchants Group held the 14th Five-Year Plan strategic planning meeting in Shenzhen. Group Chairman Miao Jianmin attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Group President Hu Jianhua delivered a work report.

Miao Jianmin gave a speech on promoting China Merchants Group to better integrate into the new development pattern and serving the overall development of the country during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Miao Jianmin emphasised that China Merchants Group must stay committed to integrate into the new development pattern and always adhere to the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, stick to new development philosophies, uphold to deepening supply-side structural reforms, adhere to the deepening of reform and opening up, create new opportunities out of crises and open up new prospects in changing circumstances, and achieve the strategic goal of building a world-class enterprise at an early date. Hu Jianhua said that, based on a scientific analysis of the new stage of development, China Merchants Group must undertake new missions and tasks in the new era courageously, stay committed to the new development philosophies, identify its new position in the new development pattern, and create value and make contributions in the practice of the new development pattern.
