China Merchants Group holds 2021 annual work conference

On January 27, China Merchants Group held 2021 annual work conference in Shenzhen. The conference summarised the work of 2020 and the 13th Five-Year Plan, studied the situations and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan and laid out tasks for 2021. The Group achieved an annual revenue of RMB 814.8 billion yuan, increasing 14.1% year-on-year, a total profit of RMB 175.4 billion yuan, up 7.6% year-on-year, and a net profit of RMB 137.3 billion yuan, up 8.5% year-on-year, all achieving a new record high in history. Meanwhile, the total assets reached RMB 10.4 trillion yuan by the end of 2020, with total assets and net profit ranking first among all central enterprises once again. Over the past five years, the Group's operating revenue, total profit, net profit and total assets have reached a compound growth rate of 34.0%, 17.4%, 14.5% and 10.8% respectively, resulting in a significant increase in the Group's comprehensive strength and record operating results.
