On 27 February, Group President Hu Jianhua met with Liu Ning, Governor of Liaoning Province. The two sides held talks on the effectiveness of port integration in Liaoning and Taiping Bay's development and construction. Wang Mingyu, Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, Chen Shaowang, Mayor of Dalian City, and Deng Renjie and Li Baian, Executive Vice Presidents of China Merchants Group, attended the meeting. Liu Ning pointed out that in the past year, the integration of ports in Liaoning and Taiping Bay's construction had achieved remarkable results, and an atmosphere of sincere solidarity and enterprising spirit had been formed between China Merchants Group and Liaoning Province. In the new year, Liaoning Province will do its utmost to support the development of ports, especially Taiping Bay's development.
