On August 22, 2016 local time, CMG President Li Xiaopeng met with Mr. Liao Zhonglai, the Minister of Transport in Malaysia,discussing about the investment on transportation infrastructures.

Mr. Li Xiaopeng first introduced main business sectors and recent performance of CMG. He also gave detailed information about the footprints of CMG on "One Belt and One Road" . Li Xiaopeng expressed the willingness to actively participate in the investment on the port  and comprehensive zone development of Malaysia.

Mr. Liao Zhonglai welcomed the visit of Li Xiaopeng and his delegation. He pointed out that there are huge potential areas for cooperation in infrastructure field, because China and Malaysia are biggest trade partners of each other in ASEAN . Hence, the Ministry of Transport in Malaysia has responsibilities. Liao Zhonglai also advocated “One Belt and One Road” policy and welcomed the investment of CMG in port,zone and highway network development. Last, they exchanged thoughts on the comprehensive development of Malacca Port.
