On August 22, 2016 local time, CMG President Li Xiaopeng met with Mr. Huang Huikang, the ambassador of China to Malaysia, discussing the future plan of CMG on Malaysia.

Mr. Li Xiaopeng first expressed gratitude to the Embassy of The People's Republic of China in Malaysia,reporting to Mr. Huang Huikang about the strategic plan of CMG with the highlight on the introduction of the development of CMG in Asian-Pacific area.

Mr. Huang Huikang welcomed the visit of Li Xiaopeng and stated that CMG was the pioneer of "Opening-up and Reform" of China as well as "One Belt and One Road" policy. He emphasized Malaysia was the biggest trade partner of China in ASEAN, which had remarkable business environment. In 2015, the bilateral trade volume between China and Malaysia reached 97.3 billion.
