On August 22 to 23, CMG President Li Xiaopeng met in Kuala Lumpur with Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shamsul Azhar Abba, the independent non-executive director of MMC.Later he inspected Port Swettenham.

During the talk, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shamsul Azhar Abbas and his management team gave an introduction to Li Xiaopeng about the business sectors and recent performance of MMC. He also showed the willingness to work with CMG, enhancing investment in the field of port, logistics industries and developing new drivers in Malaysia. Li Xiaopeng introduced the recent performance of CMG, discussing cooperation opportunities on every side. Hopefully, the CMG Model "Port-in-the-front, Zone-in-the-middle, City-at-the-back" can be beneficially applied into the construction of ports in Malaysia. Later, the delegation went to Port Swettenham for field inspection.
