During April 24 to 26, China Merchants Group Chairman Li Jianhong paid a business visit to Germany to gain better picture about its cruise industry. Group Assistant President Hong Xiaoyuan accompanied him.

Li's delegation went to Meyer Werft, a shipyard located in Papenburg, and "World Dream" cruise, a 200,000-ton cruise under its construction. In the next day, they drove to Wismar to get detailed information of MV Werften, a shipyard of Genting Group. Mr. Colin Au Fook Yew, Founding President of Genting Group, showed Li's delegation around its sample room and compared MV Werften advantages with global cruise building industries. After two visits of shipyards, Li went to Passau to get its first-hand operations of Crystal River Cruises as well as its port infrastructure constructions. "China Merchants Group is willing to work with brand partner to build high-end cruise ecosystem. We currently absorb state-of-the-art technologies about world-class cruise design, construction, operation and service through the field trip, which is beneficial to forge a full-chain cruise industry", said Li Jianhong.
