President Li Xiaopeng Meets with Minister of Ports and Shipping of Sri Lanka

On August 24, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group(CMG) President Li Xiaopeng meets in Hong Kong with Mahinda Samarasinghe, Minister of Ports and Shipping of Sri Lanka, exchanging ideas about about further promoting cooperations in Hambantota Port. CMG Executive Vice President Hu Jianhua attends the meeting.

Li Xiaopeng welcomes the visit of Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and expresses gratitudes to his supports on CMG business in Sri Lanka. He introduces that CMG Port net has extends to 20 countries and districts, with capacity to facilitate synergies between CICT and Hambantota Port. "CMG is committed to duplicate PPC business model(Port-Park-City) based on actual needs of Sri Lanka, with aims to prosper local economy. More opportunities among logistics, toll roads, finance, industry park lies on the solid cooperation foundation." said Li. "CMG is a leading port operator with wide range of port management experiences, which not only improve Sri Lanka's shipping industry, but also bilateral relationship with China. We surely cast our top confidence on CMG." said Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe.
