On September 21, 2017 local time, "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" is held in London by Hong Kong Trade Development Council. HKSAR Chief Executive Officer Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor delivers welcome package and China Merchants Group(CMG) President Li Xiaopeng is invited to attend the forum and make theme speech.

Li points out that Hong Kong is a business-friendly place that has a convenient financing environment. CMG, the oldest Chinese SOE, opens businesses in Hong Kong in 1873. "The Belt and Road" Initiative is a great opportunity for Hong Kong to consolidate its position and achieve new development, as it can provide international companies with world-class professional services. "CMG is willing to broaden its cooperation with British business community, and I have three suggestions here. Firstly, we'd like to expand our investment in UK. Secondly, we welcome British companies to Hong Kong and mainland China. Last but not the least, I think Chinese and British companies can work together and explore new markets along "The Belt and Road" Initiative" says Li in his speech.
