On February 3, Li Jianhong, Chairman of China Merchants Group, head of the Group's emergency working group on the prevention and control of pneumonia epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus, presided over the third working group meeting in Shenzhen Shekou. The meeting conveyed and studied the guiding principles issued by the higher authorities, as well as making further deployment regarding current epidemic prevention tasks, particularly the employees' return to work after the Spring Festival holiday. Hu Jianhua, President of China Merchants Group, deputy head of the emergency working group, as well as the Group's leading body (also members of the emergency working group), attended the meeting either in person or through video conferencing.

The meeting pointed out that the risks of the spread of epidemic are increasing and the prevention and control of the outbreak is at its crucial stage. Each unit shall earnestly implement the guiding principles issued by the higher authorities, further enhancing understanding and strengthening confidence. In times of difficulty, we should work coordinately to take precise and scientific prevention and control measures to curb the spread of the epidemic resolutely and to win this battle.
