On January 31, China Merchants Group's emergency working group of the prevention and control of pneumonia epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus held the second meeting. The meeting conveyed and studied the guiding principles and relevant documents issued by the higher authorities. The meeting also heard a report on the latest progress made in the epidemic's prevention and control since the first meeting as well as the Group headquarter contingency plan. In addition, the meeting conducted re-study and re-deployment regarding the Group's recent epidemic prevention and control tasks.

Li Jianhong, Chairman of China Merchants Group, head of the emergency working group, presided over the meeting. Hu Jianhua, President of China Merchants Group, deputy head of the emergency working group, as well as the Group's leading body (also members of the emergency working group), attended the meeting either in person or through video conferencing.
