On February 4, Group President Hu Jianhua inspected China Merchants Bonded Logistics' prevention and control of novel coronavirus. He extended his greetings to the front-line employees who remained at their posts during the outbreak on behalf of Group Chairman Li Jianhong.
He stressed that, under the complicated situation of contagion and a significant shortage of epidemic supplies, China Merchants Port had made good use of the network advantages of countries along the Belt and Road, expanding the procurement channels and purchasing surgical masks and high-grade medical protective clothing in multiple locations within a short period. This has not only met the pressing needs of China Merchants Port itself but also helped to collect medical supplies that are much needed for subsidiaries within the Group as well as for Hubei, for which Hu Jianhua expressed great affirmation and appreciation.
