Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority donates USD 100,000 anti-epidemic materials

On February 4, Hu Jianhua, President of China Merchants Group, received a letter of donation from Aboubaker Omar Hadi, Chairman of Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority. In the letter, Chairman Aboubaker Omar Hadi extended his sincere consolation to those who were fighting against the novel coronavirus in China and great appreciation to the prevention and control measures taken by the government of China. He was also profoundly moved by the strong sense of social and national responsibilities of China Merchants Group. China Merchants Group has been making genuine and sincere efforts in seeking development for Djibouti ever since the entry. As the strategic partner, Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority are willing to work hand in hand with China Merchants Group to overcome the difficulties and decided to donate USD 100,000 worth of anti-epidemic materials such as masks and goggles. The donation will be transferred to places where it is most needed through China Merchants Charitable Foundation.
