On February 17, Group Chairman Li Jianhong inspected China Merchants Energy Shipping's epidemic prevention and control as well as resumption of work and production. The inspection was accompanied by Executive Vice President Wang Hong.

Li Jianhong conducted thorough inspections on the employees' health and safety and the current state of work resumption during the outbreak. Through the operation and management visualization platform, he also inspected the operation and safety management of over 380 ocean-going and coastal vessels globally. Xie Chunlin, Chairman of China Merchants Energy Shipping, reported that the company's epidemic prevention and control measures were carried out in an orderly manner, and there were no confirmed cases amongst the onshore and onboard personnel.
