On February 20, after visiting Yiu Lian Dockyards, Group Chairman Li Jianhong arrived at China Merchants Port's headquarter in Hong Kong to inspect its anti-epidemic work and the state of work and production resumption. Executive Vice President Deng Renjie participated in the inspection.

Li Jianhong heard a report given by Bai Jingtao, CEO of China Merchants Port, on epidemic prevention and work and production resumption. Through video system, he also inspected the real-time operation and epidemic prevention work of Shenzhen Western Port, Liaoning Port Group and Colombo International Container Terminals, as well as extended gratitude to all the employees working in the port sector. He pointed out that, under the unified arrangements of China Merchants Group, China Merchants Port and Liaoning Port Group have achieved remarkable results in anti-epidemic work that no confirmed or suspected cases were detected. Li Jianhong emphasized that, China Merchants Port and Liaoning Port Group must continue to attach great importance to epidemic prevention and production safety, ensuring the stable resumption of work and production under the premise of epidemic prevention; scientifically assess the direct and indirect losses caused by the outbreak, turn crisis into opportunities; make full use of the Group's advantages, take the lead in restoring production and endeavor to meet the annual goals.
