On February 29, Group President Hu Jianhua inspected China Merchants RoRo's anti-epidemic work and resumption of work and production. He heard a report on its development profile, epidemic prevention and control as well as the operation and management plan for the year 2020. During the inspection, he also conversed with the captain of the vessel "Chang Xiang Long" through the visualization platform about the vessel's epidemic prevention, material supply and crew members' safety and health situation.

Hu Jianhua pointed out that, although nearly half of China Merchants RoRo's employees originated from Hubei and its subsidiary, Wuhan company, is in the severely affected area of the country, there has not been a single case detected, which admittedly was not an easy task. This has fully embodied that the leading bodies of China Merchants Energy Shipping and China Merchants RoRo, as well as the grassroots organizations, had well performed their duties and responsibilities in the face of significant tests. He gave full recognition to China Merchants Energy Shipping's overall deployment and China Merchants RoRo's prevention and control of epidemic, meanwhile, he expressed sincere appreciation to employees onshore and onboard, especially to those from Hubei and Wuhan. Hu Jianhua emphasized that China Merchants RoRo should continue to thoroughly implement the various decisions and requirements made by the higher authorities and the Group, firm up confidence in the fundamentals of China's long-term sound economic growth, strengthen the analysis of industry trends and continue to promote cooperation with major domestic automobile corporations on vehicle logistics projects, and take advantage of the Group's quality resources to extend the industry chain of roll-roll transportation, so as to build China Merchants RoRo into a first-class roll-roll brand in China.
