On March 4, Group President Hu Jianhua inspected China Merchants Life Insurance and made further instructions for anti-epidemic and work resumption.

Hu Jianhua heard a report given by Peng Wei, General Manager of China Merchants Life Insurance, on the epidemic prevention and control measures, company performance since its establishment three years ago, epidemic's impact on corporate operations, future work plan, as well as difficulties and corresponding countermeasures. Full recognition was given by him to China Merchants Life Insurance's epidemic contaminant efforts and work and production resumption achievements for having adopted accurate measures and maintained zero confirmed, suspected and death cases. On behalf of the Group, he extended appreciation to staff who have been fighting at the front line. Besides, China Merchants Life Insurance was able to respond positively and quickly to the call of higher authorities and the Group in terms of acceptance of insurance claims and active donation of insurance, which has earned the honour for the Group. He pointed out that, since the establishment of China Merchants Life Insurance, its has outperformed the market and its peers with revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan, achieved leap-forward development and trained a competent and professional team. He expressed that, China Merchants Life Insurance should resolutely implement the decisions and deployment made by the higher authorities on anti-epidemic prevention and development of economy and society, strictly implement the work requirements of decisively winning the "three battles", and comprehensively achieve the goals of the year 2020. China Merchants Life Insurance should further explore and develop innovative models of the internet insurance business and actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative by effectively integrating the Group's resources to achieve overseas business development in future asset allocation.
