On April 11, Group President Hu Jianhua inspected Taiping Bay New District. Executive Vice President, Wang Cuijun and, Chief Digital Officer, Director of Financial Business Division, Zhang Jian attended the inspection.

Hu Jianhua paid a site visit to the port of Taiping Bay New District and heard a report on its geographic location, scope of development, construction of berths and waterway, integrated transportation system and land area infrastructure planning. He emphasized that the development and construction of Taiping Bay New District is a crucial measure for the Group's deployment in the Northeast. Taiping Bay New District should draw lessons from the construction experience of Shekou and leverage the advantages of central SOEs' well-established reputation to explore and solve the problems encountered amid development and construction, steadily promote the implementation of related projects and inject vitality into the regional economic growth and the revitalization of old industrial bases in the Northeast.

In the afternoon of April 9, Hu Jianhua inspected China Merchants Shekou Liaoning subsidiary, Wang Cuijun and Zhang Jian participated in the inspection. Hu Jianhua heard a report on the company's operation, project construction, work recovery and epidemic prevention and control, to which he gave full recognition. He further pointed out that the Northeast region is still a value depression to a certain extent. In the future, the Group will continue to conduct in-depth research and strengthen investment in this region. On April 9, Hu Jianhua also investigated China Merchants Bank Dalian branch.
