On April 14, China Merchants Life Insurance held the 39th meeting of the 1st Board of Directors. Group Chairman Li Jianhong, also the Chairman of China Merchants Life Insurance, presided over the meeting through videoconferencing in Hong Kong.

The meeting reviewed and approved ten proposals including but not limited to the company's comprehensive implementation report for 2019, solvency statement and audit report for the fourth quarter of 2019, annual actuarial assumptions, annual product retrospective report, risk appetite statement and the comprehensive risk management report. The meeting also heard reports on General Manager's annual performance, company's finance, solvency and investment performance. Li Jianhong acknowledged the achievements made by China Merchants Life Insurance in the past three years. He hoped that China Merchants Life Insurance could turn crisis into opportunities and further leverage resources such as the collaborative advantage of shareholders to strive for sustainable and high-quality development.
