On April 21, Group President Hu Jianhua inspected Sinotrans Guangdong (Shilong) Railway International Logistics Base. He learned about the state of epidemic prevention and control as well as work recovery of China-Europe freight train service, especially the development plan of China-Russia Trade Park. China-Europe freight train service ensured the provision of a stable and smooth international logistics channel for work and production resumption amid the epidemic. Hu Jianhua gave full recognition to work and extended gratitude to the employees who stayed on the front-line.

Hu Jianhua pointed out that since the outbreak of the epidemic, the maritime and air transportation channels were forced to close, but the railway channel was unimpeded. Sinotrans China-Europe freight train service managed to grow against the trend, which has demonstrated its strategic significance. He emphasised that with the railway freight transportation increasing the speed and the innovation of freight tools, railway passages would play a more constructive role in the Belt and Road Initiative.
