2020-04-22
China Merchants Group's emergency working group of the prevention and control of COVID-19 held the fifteenth meeting. The meeting conveyed the instructions recently issued by the higher authorities. Group Chairman Li Jianhong, head of the emergency working group, presided over the meeting. Group President Hu Jianhua, deputy head of the emergency working group, as well as the Group's leading body (also members of the working group), attended the meeting through videoconferencing.
The meeting heard the report given by the emergency working group office on recent anti-epidemic work and put forward three requirements. First, stay focused and confident. Be prepared for the normalisation and persistence of the epidemic, and implement all the prevention and control measures till the end just as prudently as at the beginning. Also, be determined that we will overcome the epidemic and fully restore normal production and living order; Second, actively adapt, reduce costs and increase efficiency. The entire Group must firmly establish the consciousness of "belt-tightening", further reduce costs and expenditures, improve quality and efficiency, and strictly control labour cost; Third, come to a clear assessment of the situation and defend the bottom line. Conduct thorough study on potential difficulties, risks and uncertainties. Prevent and respond to the impact and influence induced by changes in the external environment, meanwhile, alleviate internal pressure and strive to achieve the goal of high-quality growth.
