Hu Jianhua inspected the Group's fixed-point poverty alleviation work in Xinjiang

China Merchants Group attaches great importance to poverty alleviation in Xinjiang. From 2016 to 2019, an accumulative amount of nearly 300 million yuan was invested in poverty alleviation in Xinjiang with more than thirty industrial, educational and medical projects implemented. In the sprint stage of the decisive battle to overcome poverty, China Merchants Group resolutely fulfilled the responsibilities of central SOEs and played a unique role in winning the battles against epidemic and poverty. From April 24 to 27, Group President Hu Jianhua led a team to Xinjiang for inspection and communication on Yecheng and Shache counties' poverty alleviation work in the countdown stage. Group CFO Zhou Song participated in the inspection.

During the inspection, Hu Jianhua had a thorough communication with the county governments regarding the focuses and difficulties of relevant poverty work and specific relief needs. Besides, he visited Yecheng Red Army Primary School, Shache County Special Education School, impoverished village relocation and industrial employment projects and the Group's provisional poverty alleviation cadres dispatched to Yecheng and Shache counties.
