On the evening of May 5, Group President Hu Jianhua attended the video conference held by the World Economic Forum—Supply Chain and Transportation Industry Action Group and exchanged views with industry players on the bottlenecks and solutions faced by the global supply chain under the outbreak. The conference is a high-level exclusive communication platform created for the leaders of leading enterprises in the industry, whose purpose is to maintain the normal operation of industry amid COVID-19 through regular interaction.
In the speech, Hu Jianhua shared in English three major experience as to how China Merchants Group has ensured the efficient operation of the international logistics and supply chain. First, strengthen mutual communication and cooperation to ensure the regular operation of the global supply chain; Second, construct a multimodal transport system to optimize the international supply chain service system; Third, build a smart logistics platform to enhance the international supply chain service level.
