2020-05-06

China Merchants Group's emergency working group of the prevention and control of COVID-19 held the seventeenth meeting. The meeting conveyed the instructions recently issued by the higher authorities. Group Chairman Li Jianhong, head of the emergency working group, presided over the meeting. Group President Hu Jianhua, deputy head of the emergency working group, as well as the Group's leading body (also members of the working group), attended the meeting through videoconferencing.

The meeting pointed out that the latest judgment on epidemic prevention and control made by the higher authority is that arduous efforts have brought a decisive outcome to the fight of defending Hubei and its capital city Wuhan. The nationwide battle against the epidemic has gained significant strategic achievements, which marks a new stage in the domestic epidemic prevention and control. The meeting also heard the report given by the emergency working group office on recent anti-epidemic work and put forward three requirements. First, the Mainland units should firmly grasp the favourable trend of the domestic epidemic situation. We must take advantage of the situation and recover the losses caused by the epidemic; Second, overseas units should implement the anti-epidemic measures in an all-round way and resolutely win the battle; Third, the units in Hong Kong should properly coordinate and implement the normalized epidemic containment measure.
