On June 3, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and Hubei province jointly held a video conference of central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) helping revitalize virus-hit Hubei after the epidemic. Group President Hu Jianhua and Executive Vice President Wang Hong attended the video conference in Shenzhen and Hong Kong respectively.
Hao Peng, Party Secretary of SASAC Party Committee and Chairman of SASAC, said that central SOEs have always fought side by side with Hubei province and its citizens during the epidemic. On the basis of regular epidemic prevention and control, central SOEs should give full play to the leading role, formulate targeted plans and clarify specific measures for the revival of Hubei after the epidemic.
Ying Yong, Party Secretary of Hubei province, said that while actively implementing supporting policies issued by superior bodies for Hubei, the SASAC also rolled out targeted measures to help Hubei province deal with the impact of COVID-19 and promote economic and social development, which fully demonstrated the SASAC and central SOEs' sincere intentions and concrete actions for supporting the revival of Hubei. He hoped that SOEs could promote more strategic emerging industries, R&D centres and significant projects to settle in Hubei. Meanwhile, Hubei will strive to create a first-class business environment and fully support the development and growth of central SOEs in Hubei.
