From January 4 to 5, Group Chairman Miao Jianmin investigated Zhanjiang Port Group and China Merchants Bank Zhanjiang Branch. Executive Vice President Deng Renjie participated in the investigation.

Miao Jianmin heard a report on the construction, operation and development of Zhanjiang Port Group. He pointed out that Zhanjiang Port Group had actively deepened reforms and achieved remarkable results in promoting refined and professional management since China Merchants Group taking shares in 2007, especially after China Merchants became the controlling shareholder in 2019. He said that in the face of the severe impacts rarely seen in the century, Zhanjiang Port managed to overcome the difficulties, promoted the construction of a strong regional port, built a full-process intelligent bulk terminal, served the local economic and social development, and continuously radiated new vitality. On January 5, Miao Jianmin visited China Merchants Bank Zhanjiang Branch and heard a report on the operation and management of both Guangzhou Branch and Zhanjiang Branch. He recognized their work and expressed that the results achieved in the past year were inspiring.
