On November 14, CMG initiated the operation of Mawan Smart Port in the Shenzhen west port area, making it Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s (GBA) first 5G smart port, as well as one of the first testing sites of “5G+ Port” innovation in China.

With an investment of about RMB 4.37 billion, the port covers 983,600 square meters and owns the capacity of docking the world's largest container ships. It is designed with throughput capacity of 3 million TEUs each year. As the priority project of CMPort’s smart terminals, it features nine intelligent elements, including CM ePort, artificial intelligence, 5G applications, Beidou System, blockchain, and low-carbon technologies.
