“Warm Homes, Shared Joy”: Hong Kong Public Housing Estates Enhancement Initiative Launches

Co-organized by China Merchants Group (CMG) and Creative Enterprise, and with support from the Hong Kong Housing Bureau, the "Warm Homes, Shared Joy" community enhancement initiative commenced at Shek Lei (II) Estate in Kwai Chung.

Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing of the HKSAR Government, and Mr. Zhong Guodong, Director of CMG, attended and addressed the ceremony.

In his speech, Mr. Zhong Guodong emphasized CMG's commitment to serving Hong Kong's local communities: "As a Hong Kong-based enterprise, CMG has consistently dedicated efforts to improving livelihoods. Building upon our successful 'CMG Care Repair Team' program, this new initiative focuses on installing elderly-friendly handrails for vulnerable households, addressing practical needs to enhance home safety for public housing residents."

Secretary Winnie Ho expressed appreciation for CMG's long-term philanthropic contributions: "This targeted campaign exemplifies how public-private partnerships can deliver precise care to each household."
