On May 25, the opening ceremony of the Djibouti Training Camp for the third China Merchants C Star Youth Entrepreneurship Program ("C Star Program") was held at the SPC International Exhibition Center in Djibouti.

This year's C Star Program attracted 320 young entrepreneurs from 28 countries, with 33 outstanding candidates selected to participate in the six-day Djibouti Training Camp. The camp features a diverse curriculum, including lectures, field visits, hands-on exercises, and mock roadshows, providing an immersive innovation and entrepreneurship experience. A cultural workshop hosted by a local Confucius Institute will also be organized to introduce trainees to traditional Chinese culture.

The C Star Program, one of the flagship initiatives under China Merchants Group's (CMG) philanthropic brand, is an overseas CSR project funded by China Merchants Foundation and implemented by China Merchants Shekou. With a focus on "training + research," the program explores the introduction or establishment of venture capital funds to support young people in effectively connecting with Chinese resources for project incubation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
