On August 4, 2017 local time, China Merchants Group(CMG) Chairman Li Jianhong visited to TANGIER, MOROCCO and meet Mr. Fouad BRINI, President of Tanger Med Port Authority. CMG Executive Vice President Hu Jianhua kept company with him.

Morocco is a strategically significant point along "The Belt and Road" Initiative, connecting Europe and Africa. TANGIER is a large container handling port on the northern part of Morocco, which is constituted by TC1 and TC2. Terminal Link, subsidiary of CMPort, has 40% shares of TC2 of TANGIER Port. Li Jianhong spoke highly of world-class management and promising development of TC2, which won the full-cast support of CMG. "We are also willing to work closely with Med Port Authority in port integration and industrial park." said Li.
