28 April 2022 - China Merchants Group (CMG), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) held a cloud signing ceremony by videoconference in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Tianjin, China, and Tokyo, Japan. CMG President Hu Jianhua attended the ceremony.

Representatives from China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES SHIPPING), CNOOC Gas & Power Group, CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited, and NYK signed the general arrangement agreement of LNG Shipping Contracts (Phase II) for CNOOC Mid- and Long-Term Free on Board (FOB) as well as the shipbuilding and chartering agreements of six LNG carriers.
