On August 23, Group Chairman Miao Jianmin met with Huo Xuewen, Director of Beijing Local Financial Supervision and Administration.

Miao Jianmin introduced the development of each business sector of the Group. He said that Beijing is a key development area for China Merchants Group's business as well as an essential place for the Group to serve the national strategy of coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. The Group's financial sector has a wide range of business distribution in Beijing, with total assets of more than 400 billion yuan. With other assets of real industries all counted in, the Group in Beijing has total assets of about 700 billion yuan. He hoped the two parties would strengthen cooperation in the future. Huo Xuewen introduced about China International Fair for Trade in Services. He said that financial services are an essential component of trade in service. He hoped that China Merchants Group would actively participate in and jointly promote the development of the Fair. He also proposed the direction for further cooperation between the two parties.
