China Merchants Group and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement


In the morning of February 10, China Merchants Group and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Hong Kong. Witnessed by Miao Jianmin, Chairman of the Group and Professor Yeru Ye, President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "HKUST"), Deng Renjie, Executive Vice President of the Group, and Professor Guo Yike, Chief Vice President of HKUST, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Assistant General Manager and Office Director Zhang Junli, Vice President (Research and Development) of HKUST Prof. Cheng Kwong Ting and Vice President (University Development) of HKUST Prof. Wang Yang attended the signing ceremony.

After the signing, Mr. Miao and his entourage visited the Hong Kong branch of the National Heavy Metal Pollution Prevention Engineering Technology Research Center and the Energy Research Institute of HKUST to learn more about the research and development situation of HKUST in water pollution control, energy storage batteries, plastic recycling and other aspects, as well as the results achieved in the cooperation between industry, academia and research, discipline development and so on.
