On August 24, the opening ceremony of the 4th China Merchants C Star Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program (C Star Program) Djibouti Training Camp was held at the Djibouti International Exhibition Center. Since its launch in 2022, the C Star Program, as a flagship initiative of China Merchants Group in helping young people in Africa and BRI partner countries and regions realize their entrepreneurial dreams, is committed to transforming talent dividends into momentum for China-Africa modernization. 

This year's C Star training camp has reached new heights in popularity, receiving 641 applications from 54 countries and regions, nearly double that of the previous session. The camp will also host the first C Star Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, bringing together outstanding alumni in Djibouti for exchanges and competition, empowering China-Africa development through knowledge and creativity.

While rooted in Africa, the program continues to expand into Southeast Asia and China's Hong Kong SAR. Participants' entrepreneurial projects span fintech, smart agriculture, AI industry and green cities.
